My Story
In 1987, as a young immigrant from Lebanon, I arrived in Australia, carrying with me the memories and experiences of the civil war that ravaged my homeland throughout the 1980s. It was during those tumultuous times that I truly understood the significance of education and the transformative power it holds.
Having witnessed the devastating consequences of a society torn apart by conflict, I recognised that education was not just a means of acquiring knowledge, but a gateway to freedom and liberation. It became clear to me that education had the potential to break down barriers, bridge divides, and empower individuals to shape their own destinies.
Driven by this realisation, I embarked on a personal journey to advocate for educational equity and access. I dedicated myself to creating opportunities for others to experience the transformative power of education, just as I had.
I firmly believe that every individual, regardless of their background or circumstances, deserves the chance to unlock their full potential through learning.
Through combined efforts, I have witnessed the incredible impact that education can have on individuals and communities. It has the capacity to empower, inspire, and uplift, enabling individuals to overcome adversity and build a brighter future.
